Cookie policy

A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a site. Some are essential to running the shop; others serve to measure traffic or personalize advertising. This page explains which ones we use and how you stay in control.
1. The principle: your choice first
Under article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and the recommendations of the CNIL:
- cookies strictly necessary to the running of the site are placed without your consent — they serve only to make the shop work;
- all others — non-exempt audience measurement, social networks, advertising — are placed only after your explicit agreement;
- refusing is as simple as accepting: the banner offers both choices at the same level;
- not answering the banner counts as a refusal: no non-essential tracker is placed;
- you can change your mind at any time through the "Cookie preferences" link at the bottom of every page.
2. The cookies we use
2.1 Strictly necessary — no consent required
Without them, the shop does not work. They serve no advertising purpose.

2.2 Audience measurement — subject to your consent

2.3 Advertising and social networks — subject to your consent
These trackers serve two purposes: measuring what our posts and advertisements actually return, and showing you our pieces again on Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook after your visit to the shop.
None of them is placed until you have accepted. They are installed as Shopify extensions rather than in the site's code: if you decline, they do not load at all — they do not load and then abstain. That difference matters, and it is the reason for this technical choice.

These two providers become recipients of your data: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and Pinterest Europe Limited, both established in Ireland but belonging to United States groups. The safeguards governing those transfers are described in our Privacy Policy.
If you decline, the shop works exactly the same. You will simply see less relevant advertising elsewhere on the web — not less advertising.
2.4 The shop's chat window
The chat window sets no cookie at all. It records three values in your browser's session storage — shopify-chat-nudge-start, shopify-chat-nudge-path and shopify-chat-nudge-pages — solely so that it does not offer you the chat over and over during your visit. They disappear as soon as you close the tab.
The content of your messages is handled by Shopify, which already hosts the shop: there is no additional recipient. See our Privacy Policy.
2.5 Accelerated payment buttons
The quick payment buttons offered in the cart — PayPal and Shop Pay — also record values in your browser's storage when they load, in particular signInWithShop:cartSyncTransferAttemptedAt and signInWithShop:cartSyncTransferCompletedAt, along with a PayPal configuration key. They prepare the checkout and belong to the running of the service you asked for.
2.6 The welcome offer window
The window that offers the welcome discount on the home page records a single value in your browser's local storage: obs-offre-vue. It contains only a date, the one until which the window should no longer be shown to you — thirty days if you decline it, permanently if you sign up.
Its only purpose is to respect your refusal. It contains no identifier, no address, no browsing trace, and is passed to no one. You can erase it by clearing your browser's site data; the window will then be offered to you again.
2.7 Your browsing choices
When you choose an entry point on the home page (“I’m just starting”, “I’ve practiced for years”, “I’m just here to look”) or keep a piece “for later”, the shop saves two values in your browser’s local storage: obs-profil (the name of the entry you chose) and obs-favoris (the names of the pieces you kept, twelve at most). They are written only by those gestures of yours.
A third, obs-vus (the names of the pieces you looked at most recently, twelve at most), is noted as you browse: since you did not ask for it with a gesture, it is written only with your agreement to preferences, through the “Accept” button of the banner. If you decline or do not answer, the list of pieces you looked at does not exist.
These values serve only to show you, when you come back, the pieces you looked at or kept. They stay on your device: they are sent to no one, contain no identifier or address, and serve no advertising. You can erase them with “Change my path”, with the cross on kept pieces, or by clearing your browser’s site data.
Finally, if your browser is set to neither French nor English, the shop shows a banner, “This site is also available in English”. If you close it, it saves one value, obs-langue, in your browser’s session storage: it disappears when you close the tab and only serves to not show you the banner again during that visit.
3. Retention periods
- Proof of your choice is kept for 6 months; after that, the banner is shown to you again.
- The trackers themselves have a lifetime of 13 months at most.
- The data collected through them is kept for 25 months at most.
4. Taking back control
Beyond our banner, you can set your browser to block or delete cookies. Be aware: blocking strictly necessary cookies stops the cart and the customer account from working.
