Jade

Deep green to pale green, very dense in the hand. Under the name jade sit two distinct minerals, nephrite and jadeite, which nothing separates to the eye — only density really tells them apart. The most translucent pieces are the most sought after. It has been worked for millennia, in China as in Central America.
