The sign. From 23 September to 22 October. An air sign ruled by Venus, astrology links it to a sense of balance, to diplomacy and to a taste for harmony.

In practice. Remove the stone before it reaches the flame, then rinse it in warm water. Trim the wick between uses. Never leave unattended. The stone stays hot for a while after the candle goes out.
