Candles in a metal tin — Parma violet

A powdery, sweet violet, almost confectionery, over an orris root base.

A candle poured in plant wax, with a slow, even burn.

When to burn it. A scent of another time, of dressing tables and glove boxes.

Use & care. First burn: let it melt out to the edges, otherwise the candle will tunnel. Trim the wick to 5 mm before each lighting. Never leave it burning unattended or for more than four hours at a time.
