A Californian sage with a dense, resinous, pungent smoke, very distinctive.
A bundle of dried plants, tied by hand; the stems are packed tight for a slow burn and a dense smoke.
When to use it. Traditionally used by the peoples of the Great Plains; a powerful smell, air the room afterwards.
What is in it. A bundle of white sage & palo mexicano, tied by hand.
In practice. Light one end, blow it out, then let it smoke over a heat-resistant dish as you walk through the room. Air the room well afterwards. Put it out by pressing the ember into sand rather than blowing; the bundle relights several times.
