Indian rune set in a pouch — Tree agate

A translucent white ground crossed by dark branchings that suggest a winter tree seen against the light.

Twenty-five stones engraved with the elder futhark, presented in their fabric pouch; the characters are carved and then picked out.

What tradition attributes to it. Tradition reads in it the symbol of the tree and of rootedness; it is credited with a quiet grounding.

In practice. Drawn blind, hand in the pouch, one to three depending on the question asked. Keep them in the pouch: the stones scratch each other if left loose.
