A soft, opaque green, scattered with flecks that sparkle as you turn the stone — the effect known as aventurescence.

A pendulum cut from natural stone and hung on its fine chain; the balance is checked piece by piece, without which the swing drifts.

What tradition attributes to it. Long called the "stone of opportunity", tradition links it to luck and to the impulse to begin again. It is credited with a calming influence on the heart chakra.

The symbol. The merkaba overlays two inverted tetrahedra into a three-dimensional star, a figure of movement in the esoteric tradition.
